Water Restrictions Begin

Beginning July 18th, and until further notice, King Creek WSC is enacting Stage 1 water restrictions.  The Board has modified the hours permitting water usage to be more flexible for Stage 1 only.  Here are the details:

Stage 1 allocation restricts the water use as follows: Voluntary Water Use Restrictions for Reducing Demand:

1. Water customers are requested to voluntarily limit the irrigation of landscaped areas to Sundays and Thursdays for customers with a street address ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8), and Saturdays and Wednesdays for water customers with a street address ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9), and to irrigate landscapes only between the hours of 08:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. and 04:00 a.m. – 09:00 a.m. on designated watering days.
2. Water customers are requested to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes.

There is no immediate concern of system failure, however the system will be continuously monitored and if necessary the water restrictions will be enhanced.
